Sun King HomePlus Max in Kenya

The Sun King HomePlus Max in Kenya is a high-capacity solar home system designed to provide household lighting, phone charging and power for compatible appliances. It combines an 80W solar panel with a 192Wh lithium iron phosphate battery and four powerful LED tube lights. Additionally, it includes a motion-sensing security lamp and multiple output ports for powering devices such as smartphones, laptops, compatible Sun King TVs and pedestal fans.

Four 600-Lumen LED Lights for Bright Home Lighting

The Sun King HomePlus Max comes with four 600-lumen LED tube lights, each with an individual wall switch. Together, these lights provide 2,400 lumens of illumination.

Additionally, the system includes a 100-lumen motion-sensing security lamp. This brings the maximum stated brightness to 2,500 lumens, providing lighting for indoor spaces and suitable outdoor areas.

The four tube lights can serve different rooms, including bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and workspaces. Meanwhile, the individual switches allow you to control each light separately.

Furthermore, the security lamp detects movement from up to 7 metres away, making it useful near entrances and other areas that need automatic lighting.

80W Solar Panel and 192Wh LFP Battery

The HomePlus Max comes with an 80W monocrystalline solar panel and an 8-metre cable. You can position the panel outdoors in a location with good sunlight while keeping the main control unit indoors.

It also features a 192Wh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This battery stores the energy needed to power the lights and connected devices.

According to Sun King, the battery supports more than 2,500 charge cycles and can provide up to 10 years of service under typical daily use. Actual battery lifespan depends on charging habits, operating conditions and usage.

Solar and Grid Charging Options

The system supports dual charging, giving you the option to recharge the battery using solar energy or electricity from the grid.

Solar charging provides an option for households with limited access to electricity. However, when grid power is available, you can also recharge the system through its USB-C input using a compatible charger of up to 60W.

Consequently, you have an alternative charging option during periods of limited sunlight. The digital LED battery meter also helps you monitor the charging process and stored power.

Powers Compatible Sun King TVs and Pedestal Fans

Unlike basic solar lighting kits, the HomePlus Max can power compatible Sun King DC appliances. Its four 12V DC output ports support a maximum combined output of 120W, with a maximum of 5A per port.

This allows you to connect compatible Sun King products such as:

• Sun King HD televisions

• Sun King pedestal fans

• Compatible Sun King radios

• Additional compatible DC lighting products

Therefore, the system can support more than household lighting. You can expand its use by adding compatible appliances as your needs change.

Please note that the TV, fan and other appliances are not automatically included with the standard HomePlus Max system. Check the selected package before purchasing.

USB Charging for Phones, Tablets and Laptops

The HomePlus Max provides several charging options for personal electronic devices.

It includes two USB-A ports rated at 5V and 2.1A for compatible phones and USB devices. Additionally, its USB-C port delivers up to 65W, supporting compatible smartphones, tablets and laptops.

This is particularly useful for households that need to keep communication and work devices powered without relying entirely on grid electricity.

The USB-C port also supports up to 60W input for grid charging. As a result, the same port provides both a device-charging option and an alternative way to recharge the solar system.

Motion-Sensing Security Lighting

The included 100-lumen security lamp adds another practical feature to the HomePlus Max. Its motion sensor detects movement from up to 7 metres away and activates the light when movement occurs.

You can use it near entrances, corridors, outdoor access points and other suitable locations. Consequently, it provides automatic lighting without requiring someone to switch it on manually every time.

Two-Year Warranty and Expandable Design

Sun King provides a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the system, with installation included.

Furthermore, the HomePlus Max supports compatible Sun King appliances, allowing you to expand the system beyond its original lighting setup. You can add a compatible television or pedestal fan when you need additional functionality.

This makes it a practical option for households and small businesses looking for a solar system that can support several everyday electrical needs.
