The Sun King 32-inch DC TV in Kenya is a digital HD LED television designed for households using compatible solar power systems. It features a 16:9 widescreen display, built-in digital decoder, USB and HDMI connections, and stereo speakers. Additionally, its DC-powered design allows it to operate with the Sun King HomePlus Max solar home system, making it suitable for homes that want television entertainment without relying entirely on grid electricity.
The Sun King DC TV features a 32-inch LED screen with an HD resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. Its 16:9 aspect ratio provides a widescreen viewing experience for television programmes, films and other video content.
Furthermore, the television supports a wide viewing angle, helping viewers enjoy the picture from different positions in a room. Its built-in digital decoder also supports free-to-air digital television broadcasts where compatible signals are available.
One of the main advantages of this television is its compatibility with the Sun King HomePlus Max solar home system. The HomePlus Max provides dedicated 12V DC output ports for compatible Sun King appliances, including televisions and pedestal fans.
Consequently, you can enjoy television entertainment using stored solar energy. This makes the TV useful in homes with limited grid access or frequent power interruptions.
However, the HomePlus Max system is a separate product unless you purchase a combined package. Confirm the included components before ordering.
The Sun King 32-inch DC TV provides USB and HDMI connections for additional entertainment options.
The USB port supports MP3 audio and MP4 video playback from compatible flash drives. Therefore, you can watch supported video files or listen to stored music without connecting a separate media player.
Meanwhile, the HDMI input lets you connect compatible devices such as laptops and other video sources. This gives you more flexibility when choosing what to watch.
The television also includes a CI/CI+ card slot for compatible pay-TV modules, depending on the service provider and subscription.
The television includes a digital decoder that supports DVB-T2, DVB-S2, DVB-C and analogue PAL broadcast standards. This allows it to receive compatible terrestrial, satellite and cable television signals.
Additionally, its built-in stereo speakers provide audio for everyday viewing. You can choose from different sound modes, including Standard, Music and Sports, depending on the content.
For private listening, the 3.5mm earphone connection allows you to connect compatible wired headphones.
The Sun King TV uses DC power and is designed to work with compatible Sun King solar home systems. Its published power consumption is approximately 8W under typical operation, with a maximum consumption of 24W.
This low-power design makes it suitable for solar-powered entertainment setups. Nevertheless, actual operating time depends on the available battery capacity, other connected appliances and the selected picture settings.
